1. American football: good times or couldn't care less? When I was in high school, I lived for Fridays. The pep rallys and then the game. Now as an old lady, I could really care less.

2. Do you have a favorite sports team? I'm a Lakers fan!

3. What's your favorite junk food? chex mix

4. Are football players paid too much? OMG, YES they are paid wayyyy too much!

5. Who do you think will win this year's Superbowl? Would like to see the Bears win, but I don't think they will.

FRIDAY FUN

1. What was your first job? worked as an inspector in a garment plant. I trimmed the extra strings off and inspected the garment for quality. We made bath robes, and the very same robes had two tags.. one was for Sears for like $5.99 and the other (same robe) had a Saks tag and sold for like $21.99. I was 17.

2. Do you remember your first crush? Yes, I was in 1st grade and his name was Steven Shown. He later became a doctor/ mountain climber. I had the biggest crush on him from 1st grade to the 5th grade. He was my very first boy kiss.

3. What is the first thing you do in the morning? go potty, brush my teeth, take a shower...in that order.

4. What is your first memory? My 1st memory is my cousin Leon's funeral. I was about three and he was 16, died of leukemia. I remember my Aunt Opal holding me up to look at him.

5. Where is the first place you visited on the net today? Ebay

THE THURSDAY THREESOME

Onesome: Slicing-- your way through the fairways of life? Terrible metaphor, -eh? Do you have metaphor or simile that just drives you bonkers when you hear it? In the south there is a saying.. "happy as a dead pig in the sunshine". I hate that one. First of all a dead pig is not happy, and if he is dead and in the sunshine he will soon be pork roast. Just another redneck term, and yes I proudly am an Alabama redneck.

Twosome: and-- on and on and on. What's the duration of your 'long' phone calls? You know, the ones where you just chat and chat and chat?
Ok , I am one of those few weird women who doesn't like to talk on the phone. Yes, we do exists. I live in AZ and my daughter in law lives in GA, and she is the only person I have long conversations with, which usually last about 30 minutes.

Threesome: dicing-- up anything for the game this weekend? ...or are you taking advantage of the sales? ...or is it a case of "what game?" Hubby is working this weekend so no game for me, yea!!!! Just going to relax and bake on Sunday.

List 3 things in your life that need changing (from mode of transportation to places to live to work to anything else you can think of), tell us why, and describe how/if you're going to change it.

1. My health needs changing. I have gained over 100 pounds in the past five years, and I hate it. The doctor told me just yesterday if I don't start losing weight, I will die. He asked me was I trying to kill myself with food. My blood pressure is high, very HIGH risk of heart disease (Mom died from it), and my everything hurts... knees, back, feet, ankles, hips. SO anyway, today February 1st is my first day of my new life.

2. My marriage needs improving. Now I am married to my best friend and love him very much. We get along great, but we need some 'together' time, and some spark put back in the flames. I am deciding just how to do that.

3. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, or should I say lack of it. I am so tired of always being broke! I don't know how to fix that one.

Ok, now I know how dumb I really am.

I have been looking at other people's blogs, and asking myself- how do they do that? I know i'm new at this, but I should know better. I have tried for days to add custom sidebars with no success whatsoever. I am Meme addicted and would like to list them on the side, but it never works for me. HELP!!!!!

Have you ever danced under the stars? I wish I could say yes, because I'm such a romantic, but no, I never have.

Have you ever listened in on a private conversation? Sadly, yes I have. It's very easy to do now with cell phones in everyone's pocket.

Have you ever splurged on something you normally wouldn't purchase? What was it? Of course I have, hasn't everyone? I love to scrapbook, and tend to collect scrapbooking supplies. I buy way too much stuff that never gets used.

1. Do you make New Year's resolutions? If so, what is your most important one? I make the same one every year- to lose weight. I never do it, maybe this is the year.

2. Easter is coming. Many Christians give up something for Lent. Do you give something up for any reason (or season)? What is it this year? I really don't give up anything for a reason or season. I do wish I could give up all this extra weight for Summer.

3. Do you watch the Super Bowl? If so, do you watch it with a group? If not, what do you do while the game is on? Anything special? I usually watch Super Bowl with hubby and friends at our house. We each bring treats and eat and holler.

4. Would you miss Monday Madness if it stopped permanently? Yes I would. This is my 1st post and I'm so excited. I would hate to lose it so soon.

If you could take lessons to learn any musical instrument, which would you want to learn? the guitar. I always wanted to be in a band when I was growing up. I cannot sing a note but would love to play guitar.

Have you ever mistaken a person for someone else? NO, I haven't. I have the uncanny ability to remember names and faces.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how well do you keep secrets? I don't keep any secrets from my husband. With friends, I would give it an 8. My ex was so full of secrets and lies that it's scary. I don't like secrets.

What's the closest you've ever been to a dangerous animal? Other than my ex, you mean? The zoo would be it then.

When was the last time you lost your patience? Last night! As I get older, my patience gets thinner. Now if my body just worked taht way!

From Least To Most

1. When have you been most supportive of another human being?
Sadly I am not a very supportive person. I always supported my sons when they were younger to be anything they wanted. I encourage them to never give up on their dreams.

2. When have you been least supportive of another human being?
I was least supportive of my son going into the air force. It was because he is my baby, and as a mom, it terrified me to think of what could happen to him. He stayed in four years and is fine.

3. What is the most meaningful compliment that you've ever gotten?
My most meaningful are not the ones that are told to me, but the ones told about me. For instance, I hear the pride in my hubby's voice when I hear him telling someone what a great cook I am, or bragging about my latest crafty project.

4. What is the least-deserved praise that you've ever been given?
I have very low seld esteem, so I think most of the praise I get is not deserved.

5. When did you love the most?
When my babies were born. It amazes me to this day how much you can love someone you've never seen or touched before. It was instantanious.
